Pagemasters first to order Roxen Editorial Portalâ„¢ in Australia
8 April 2008
Pagemasters, a provider of editorial services to newspapers and magazines, has after serious and detailed evaluation of the different alternatives on the market selected the web based Roxen Editorial Portal™ as its editorial platform for the future.
The first implementation of Roxen Editorial Portal™ will be the production of Adelaide’s The Independent Weekly. By using the Roxen Editorial Portal™, The Independent Weekly will select content and deliver it to Pagemasters from their offices in Adelaide.
Pagemasters will handle design and page production in Melbourne.
Pagemasters also intends rolling out the Roxen Editorial Portal™ to other clients in the coming months.
The order from Pagemasters is also Advanced Publishing System’s first for Roxen Editorial Portal™ after signing the reseller agreement with Roxen Internet Software recently.
Pagemasters Managing Director Bruce Davidson said the Roxen Editorial Portal™ would greatly enhance Pagemasters editorial production services for a range of newspaper clients.
“Roxen provides enormous transparency throughout the production cycle. It helps put some discipline around the delivery of content and gives the editorial staff at the newspaper the ability to see their pages as they are being designed,” Mr Davidson said.
“That gives an enormous amount of comfort for editorial executives – especially when production is being done at a geographically remote location,” Mr Davidson continues.
Urban Jönér, Director of Business Development at Roxen Internet Software, said: “We at Roxen are very excited by the order from Pagemasters. After initial contacts and demonstrations in November last year, we have had an ongoing and continuous contact with Pagemasters. To be selected as supplier by Pagemasters is an honour for us, and we are thrilled to be the selected future partner to a company with such an interesting and new business model.”
Terry Flynn, Sales Manager at Advanced Publishing System, said: “APS is very proud to announce the signing of Pagemasters as the first client in the Region to purchase the web based Roxen Editorial Portal™ solution. We believe the product will compliment perfectly with our own locally developed solutions for ad layout/dummying, web based ad layout and management viewer, etc., which have now become the benchmark within the industry.”
