QuickJumper and ClassDesigns Plugins
QuickJumper is a layout importer for Adobe InDesign, giving production and editorial staff access to an electronic dummy of publications constructed in QuickLayout 3.1.
ClassDesign is a powerful classified pagination programme that is quick to install and easy to use.
The QuickJumper Plugin
One of the great production time-wasters is drawing newspaper dummies and editorial rule offs. These processes are completely automated in QuickJumper.
QuickJumper also supports bleeds when used in conjunction with QuickLayout 3.1.
QuickJumper offers a range of options, enabling operators to choose to paginate an entire publication, single section or individual page.
QuickJumper creates whole papers from templates with advertisement booking shapes or editorial newsblocks in precise position.
Your pagination operator works around these advertisement shapes, knowing them to be an accurate representation of the paper layout.
QuickJumper runs in ads
QuickJumper will create the page, insert the correct folio and run in the ads leaving advertisement placeholders for artwork yet to come. Booking information is visible for copy chasing.
QuickJumper requires little setup time, minimal training and is able to be used with minutes of installation.
When the operator is ready, QuickJumper will replace advertisement shapes with the artwork or editorial copy and the page is complete.
Last minute changes, where an ad shape changes or copy won’t fit, are now quickly and easily corrected.
QuickJumper is an absolute time and money saver and will save your business days of manual pagination.
The ClassDesign Plugin
ClassDesign seamlessly fits into Adobe InDesign as a plug-in and accesses a file extract from your booking system containing live copy for classified line and display advertisements.
ClassDesign allows operators to place line and display classified advertisements by ad and then by section for flexibility.
ClassDesign can automatically update the advertisement booking shapes with the available artwork.
ClassDesign allows the operator to see the actual line and display ads and creates new pages automatically and as necessary.
ClassDesign places single or multi-column advertisements under their headings with a switch on or off feature per advertisement.
ClassDesign allows you to place your display ads, flow individual sections, toggle headers and then update artwork as you work around the page.
Advertisements can be moved by section to give your classified pages the look you want or sent back to the ClassDesign palette (clipboard) to be replaced at a later stage.
The operator controls the sequence of classified section placement, starting with display ads and then single column display and line ads.
ClassDesign is another practical solution developed by APS, your business partner in the publishing industry.
